Well...I’ve certainly got that holiday feeling!! things have been hectic - until recently, when it all slowed down and i wasn’t too sure what to do with myself!! I was off to the dentists yesterday for a check up and had my first teeth x-ray which was pretty cool to see - and all was hunky dory! and then I had lunch with Liz and then I got a call from Allie to ask if I was free that evening and if I wanted a free ticket to see Kings of Leon with her in Cardiff - of course, i said yes!
...And it was GREAT! Things that aren’t planned are always even more fun!
I found this note from my friend ellen - how nice!
Here’s some more wedding stationery...a save the date…
Jemima and I had a quiet weekend, with Mark away in Stockholm (he’s so noisy!). Evesham suffered from flooding again and most of the walks we normally do are underwater. After getting soaked through on a walk in the morning on Saturday, I met up with Katie in Worcester for some Christmas shopping - and we had lunch at the Art House Cafe which was v. nice!
Here are a couple of recent Alice Palace canvas orders - This is an A2 sized canvas of ‘Enjoy the moment’…
And Dolly… (this one’s A3 size)…
Any of the Alice Palace illustrations can be put onto canvas.
...I AM Iron Man!!
Yey, we had ‘Monday Evening DVD night’ - and watched Iron Man - which was really cool!
On Friday evening we raced over to John and Jana’s for a thai curry which was LOVELy and hot and warmed us up thoroughly for an evening of late night Christmas shopping in Broadway with some free mulled wine, whiskey and champagne tasters! I managed to get quite a few presents - even though I’d forgotten my list - and I also got a new pair of walking boots (most definately not on a whim), and I now feel very Christmassey indeed. What really made my evening was someone guessing my age at 26 - YES! Saturday morning we blitzed the house which looked like a bomb had hit it - and then I got to try out my new boots (which I call the frogs) and they are just BRILLIANT and make me want to walk and walk and walk. Inspired by Jana’s pumpkin soup which I tasted on Friday evening, I made some soup later on called ‘Love & hearts’ from my ‘New Covent Garden Food Co - Soup for All Seasons’ book which I got for Christmas last year and is great ...
...and we sat in watching tv, snacking on crisps and chorizo and soup and tiger bread and drinking beer and wine. Sunday morning we woke up to a big icicle on the bedroom window!
...it has been super cold - but I haven’t seen any snow as yet! I went for an early morning walk on Wednesday in my favourite kind of weather - icey with sunshine…
We went out on the Alice Palace Christmas parteeeee last night...me and my husband!!!
First we went to Chapel Spa and I had a neck, back and shoulder massage (which killed after going skiing!), and Mark played in the gym - then we used the spa pool and steam room, and then we got ready for dinner at The Daffodil (an old art deco cinema).
