Look at these amazing biscuits! - - they were from my friend Ellen for Christmas…

Not only are the biscuits amazingly cool - but the packaging is lovely - and they taste great too!

Heston Blumenthal’s Feast is most mental cookery programme you’ll ever see! The first in the four-part series was on last night - and it was brilliant in recreating the Mad Hatter’s tea party from Alice in Wonderland. Alice’s “Drink Me” potion was bright pink and served in a test tube, grubs were injected with tomato concentrate and sat in an entirely edible garden, and an edible pocket watch made from stock was also created (my best bit).

Heston Blumenthal is known for his mind-bending menus where food and science combine with delicious consequences: “I want to create meals that are a delicious spectacle, where every bite is a delight to the senses.”
Make sure you watch the next one!
we didn’t do too much at the weekend, but i did go and ride albi which was fun
I’ve been seeing lots of horses these last few days - and they’re all full of the joys of spring!
After a lovely relaxing weekend, so far this weeks been VERY busy. I’ve been filling in forms, deleting LOADs of old emails, doing new designs for my next show (Progressive Greetings Live, in May), visiting Zoe, Guy, Brenny and their new baby daughter called Chloe (who is very sweet!), taking library books back… This is the last page from Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver - I like it a lot…
Albert and Jemima and I enjoyed the last of the sunshine on Friday afternoon…

Then Mark and I went to give blood and then had a chinese takeaway and tv night…. and laughed lots at the Flight of the Conchords - love them!
yey for our new car! it is really very nice (very, very nice) to have a car again. Yesterday afternoon Katie and I enjoyed a cup of tea, a catch up and some sweets that you just can’t stop eating - these are the Natural Confectionery Co’s Forbidden Fruits with no arftificial colours/flavours (and I’ve just remembered there’s still a few left, for me to eat right now!)... I’ve just had a quick look at their website - which is pretty cool too…
...this is how someone described Alice Palace greetings cards to me yesterday whilst placing an order. I’m obviously in agreement! I’m very busy at the moment finishing off all the breakfast cereal in the house - i have a fun mixture of three. Normally this is something i would avoid - but this morning i thought i’d give it a go and it’s actually really nice - and as Katie would say, fast release and slow release foods!!
Slow release carbohydrates are found in those foods which slowly raise blood sugar levels once eaten. Quick release carbohydrates are the opposite. Foods such as canned baked beans that are made with high sugar content, white bread, water melon and well-cooked pasta are all quick release foods. These can cause spikes in blood sugar levels which are then followed by slumps. These slumps lead to shakiness, hunger, tiredness and other undesirable symptoms. Slow release foods are valued for their ability to deliver sustained energy over a longer period of time. Porridge oats are one such foodstuff. This explains why marathon champion Paula Radcliffe is so keen on making porridge for breakfast on race days. A chart of different foods which rates the relative speed at which they release sugar into the bloodstream has been devised. It is known as the Glycaemic Index and versions are widely available on the Internet.
wooooooooooo-ho - go find yourself some energy!

(I found this cool image on the internet too - it’s A creative journey to active and energise girls in schools)
We decided to have a taste test evening for valentines. Mark picked 3 starters and I picked 3 puddings.
