a fun-filled bank holiday weekend!
On friday jemima went off on holiday to norfolk with liz and charlie, and mark and i missed her! We had jan and john and erin over for dinner that evening which was great as they’ve moved back from san fran - we had an evening of sausage, egg and bean pie, beers and Flight of the Conchords! Then on saturday we set off to london (suckin on travel sweets all the way!) for punit’s 30th birthday party had an evening of mojitos. We picked jemima up on sunday lunchtime and then had a big easter feast at mum & tony’s which was the BEST (soooooooooooooooo full of massive roast turkey dinner, apple crumble and the best ever carrot cake!). On monday we didn’t do alot except that i rode albi and mark and jemima came along too (which was real fun!)...On tuesday we set off for the lakes for mark’s birthday ...
...and had a night at the beech hill hotel where we had a very cool room with a GREAT view and some pet ducks!
...jemima remembered the lake!
...the next day we set off for the cumbrian heavy horse centre and had a stop off walk to the top of a windy hill on route ...
Riding was lots of fun - i rode a horse called brutus who’s a Clydesdale/Shire cross, and mark rode major again - - here’s his beard!
and we met a very large cockerel there too…
we stopped off at morecambe bay on the way home and had some fish & chips….
