a fun friday tea and lots more…
Mark got in some lovely ingredients for our tea on Friday - we had a few pints and then went home to cook….
...some wild mushrooms from the French market which came in this lovely bag (oooo la la!)...
...a quick cook mushroom risotto…
...and these yummy outdoor reared pork sausages with a hint of nutmeg (Smithfield’s no 1 recipe)...
I saw these all these leaves on my way into work on Friday morning - it still looked a bit dark!
I met up with Ali for lunch in Broadway and we went to the Broadway Deli - it’s great with only a few tables hidden away at the back…don’t tell everyone!
The food was delicious….
On the way home from work Jemima and I stopped for a quick play before dark…
On Saturday I went to Stroud with Ellen in the afternoon (after scraping windows!)...we went to the Sustain show of contemporary crafts there…
My favourites included work by:
Julie Arkell - Rabbit like figures in knitted garments moulded from paper and everyday materials found around the home.
Penny Leaver Green - Sewn pictures on recycled fabrics with inherent qualities exploring the figurative and text.
My most favourite was - - - Marion Mitchell – Strong abstract paintings using reclaimed woods.
Cleo Mussi – Quirky, humorous mosaics from discarded china.
I love these 3 ladies on the wall in one of the main streets of stroud - they look brilliant…
We went for a cuppa afterwards and had a couple of pieces of cake to share: mango & coconut (not that nice)and chocolate & pear (which was yummy).
On Sunday (after painting the front door), I met up with Katie in Pershore to go for a walk and lunch…my task was to bring the flask and she was in charge of the sweet treat! We did the circular walk and it was lots of fun and the sweet treat was flapjack with choclate and brazil nuts - yum!
This is the best sign ever that i spotted!!!
My favourite humbug cows…
Jemima found a squeaky rugby ball in a field and had lots of fun with it…
We saw this sculpture which is part of the vale arts trail…
We went for lunch afterwards and had some yummy tea and a pear, stilton and ham sandwich…
Katie went for Ceylon Carlolina and I had Earl Grey Blue lady - both were excellent!
Here’s a post label that I designed for Blue Dog Jewellery - posted to me!
