Albert & Alice on holiday
Last Sunday morning Albert set off on his holiday! And I went along too - - with my friend Jana and her horse called Foxy and her dog called Harvey (unfortunately Jemima isn’t quite road-proof enough and wasn’t able to attend)...
....PREPARE for lots of horsey pics!!
We set off from Didbrook after some lunch and headed to Foxhill Farm in Norton - - in the sunshine!!
Harvey was scared of all the loose horses, so Jana had to walk with him!
When we arrived we were given a cup of tea and some cake! And the horses got to go out in the field for a roll and some lovely grass.
Here’s Albi’s new stable!
Our room…
And this is the view from our room - which is a roof top room…
Cool bathroom tiles!
These are the yard dogs - I can’t remember their names - but they were both lovely.
And there was a target practice bird behind Albert’s stable - -
We had dinner at the Hollow Bottom on Sunday night - and I had lasagne and chips and salad.
Breakfast was at 9am and we had fruit salad, full English breakfast and toast and jam!!
We set off on our day ride in the sunshine - it was brilliant!
We played in the water - and Albert wasn’t too sure at first - he wanted to splash lots!
We stopped off for an icecream - I had brown bread flovour - it was yummy. Albert wanted to try some!
What an amazing day - it was so sunny - and we were so lucky!
We went to the Black Horse for dinner on Monday evening and I had chorizo and chicken pasta and then treacle tart and custard - yum - was very hungry!
Tuesday morning, we weren’t as lucky with the weather and albi had to borrow foxy’s rug…he LOVES rolling!!
There was a massive pile up of bales half covered with black plastic and the wind was making it go wild - and it sounded like waves crashing!
Lots of new trees have been planted in Wood Stanway - to create a line to Stanway house - -
These are some of the horses I used to ride when I worked at Emma’s yard…William in the purple rug and Bert hiding right at the back.
William’s one of the stars of ‘Flying horses’ - - he’s the one at the back ... along with Jana’s horse Foxy (the bay one) and Campbell’s horse Angel (the grey at the front).
We made it home safe and sound - thanks to Jana, Foxy and Harvey for leading the way!
