back from Top Drawer Autumn 2008!
And what a good show it was - none of the doom and gloom that was forecast - but shiney, happy people wanting to place lots of orders. And lots of sunshine too!
Me, Mark, Jemima and Sprout set off on Saturday morning and went for elevensies at my Nan’s to show her the wedding photos ... it was lovely to see her - and she liked all of the photos!
We got to London and set up the Alice Palace stand (N-L25) which was pretty quick - I had a brand new look with screenprinted banners for the background which me and liz did some special sewing to the day before!!
We finished at about 5pm and went to our hotel - Jemima LOVES running free in the corridors and turns into a complete crazy (and so does Mark!!)
It’s always sunny when this show’s on - we went for a walk around a graveyard which was the closest greenery…Jemima had to stay on a lead and she wasn’t very happy about that when there were so many squirrels teasing her!!
We went out for a few drinks and then had dinner at 222 Gardens which is a great veggie/vegan restaurant…
Four of my greetings cards got chosen to be in the Texture feature for Top Drawer Autumn entitled “runway to room” which links fashion with interior trends.
The four chosen designs are from the ‘Yummy things’ range and include: Honey, Good things (the cake), Coffee bean and Mind jacuzzi (the champagne).
My freind Heather who I met when I did Camp America when I was nineteen came along to the show - it was brilliant to see her again!
And Liz came to help me from Sunday afternoon until the end of Monday and she was a FANTASTIC help!
And cousin Matt popped in too - -
Me and Liz went out for drinks and dinner on Sunday evening ...
oooooooooooooooooooooooo, the moon!!!!!
And on Monday night, I went out with uni mates from London and had a lovely risotto and talked too much!
