broadway high street illustrations
i’ve been drawing Broadway high street for a map that’s being created to help people find their way around. There are big maps up in a few locations around Broadway and there’s a folded handout version too. Broadway is a large village in the Cotswolds renowned for its honey coloured houses, (located in the county of Worcestershire) and often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’... the high street has an arty feel and it’s a great place for a stroll around and to have a coffee - but if you are feeling more energetic, there’s also wonderful walk to Broadway Tower (standing at 65 feet high, the tower is the second highest point in the Cotswolds and on a clear day you can see up to 16 counties), or a play at Broadway park (which is brilliant fun!)...
I supplied almost 100 illustrations in black and white to Cotswold Web Design Agency Riley and Thomas, and they have created the finished a2 sized map which has been coloured up with a key to show which are Broadway Business Association Members, Shops, Art Galleries & Museums, Hotels & Venues, Restaurant, Cafes, Pubs & Takeaways, Health & Beauty, Estate Agents, Amenities, and Churches…
