Christmas starts tomorrow!!
We went off on a date with the Snow Dome in Tamworth on Friday evening and I tried skiing again. It was REALLY busy - and brilliant - - after a wobbly start…
I could hardly walk the next day. We woke up late at precisely 11:11am and raced off for a free breakfast at Cafe Rouge before 12 noon (with thanks to Bonne Maman Jam’s vouchers - - which is my favourite jam in the whole wide world).
We made it just in time ...
...and it was a lovely start to the day, before a freezing cold walk up a very foggy and icy Cleeve Hill!
Tony put my birthday present roses into the front garden in the afternoon - so now no one can use it as a May pole! One day they will be a red rose and a white climber - lovely! We set off for dinner at Ellen and Chris’s in time for Strictly Come Dancing - and had cottage pie and lovely red cabbage, and we took over a trifle for pudding. We got to meet Bob for the very first time - their little ginger and white kitten. Then we ate lots of haribo and went off to the pub to play darts and drink some more - a fun evening!
Today we went for a walk around Sudely Castle - it was very muddy and very cold!
Then we went to get all in the Christmas mood - - and got ourselves a little tree for the sitting room - at the moment he’s all bare and getting used to his new surroundings! I’m also listening to ‘Fairytale of New York’...
Mark made me dinner again this evening - he’s really getting into his Sunday evening cookery!
We had some amazingly yummy meatballs -
...and now I’m off for pudding (sponge & custard) and Top Gear….
