everyone and then no one!
On Saturday Mark and I ventured into Birmingham - it was VERY busy!!!!
We sat for a while in the sunshine until the manky one footed pigeons put us off!!
On Sunday we ventured into the wilderness - much more fun! We did the Ebrington & Foxcote House walk from the Vale Magazine and it was great. I was the map reader - so very important! The walk started off with lots of lovely horses -
And the whole walk, the rain was chasing us, but never caught us - ha ha! Here’s a lovely rainbow…
This is a picture of some teasels looking towards the sunny blue sky…
...and the same teasels looking towards the dark, rainy sky that was behind us!
Jemima managed to roll in something very sticky and was very pleased with herself
We met this horse who had a lovely outfit!
And walked past these old worn out walking boots!
Then we went to The Ebrington Arms for Sunday dinner and it was DELICIOUS! I had roast loin of Old Spot pork, apple sauce, crackling and all the trimmings and MArk had roast rump of Hereford beef, yorkshire pud and all the trimmings. All their food is homemade and locally sourced and it is VERY good.
We drank some Uley bitter (a copper coloured beer with hops and fruit in the aroma, and a malty, fruity taste underscored by a hoppy bitterness with a hint of fruit in the taste. The finish is dry, with a balance of hops and malt) which was also DELICIOUS!
Today is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sunny and warm!
