Happy Christmas Alice Palace!
We went out on the Alice Palace Christmas parteeeee last night…me and my husband!!!
First we went to Chapel Spa and I had a neck, back and shoulder massage (which killed after going skiing!), and Mark played in the gym - then we used the spa pool and steam room, and then we got ready for dinner at The Daffodil (an old art deco cinema).
We had a drink in the bar - I had a mojito - and we ate all the peanut snacks they gave to us in about 3 seconds as we were SO hungry! Monday night is Jazz Night - so while we ate our 3 course Christmas menu, wearing our party hats and setting off party poppers, we got to listen away to some GREAT music! I had fig and goats cheese tartlet to start, then parcel of roast turkey for my main and dark mocha brownie for pudding - I was extremely full - and unable to eat my tiny mince pie with coffee (which was very sad). Mark had smoked halibut to start and then had roast venison which I thought I didn’t like, but tried it and it was really yummmy! He copied me on the pudding front…
We walked the streets of Cheltenham for a while (to try and feel less full) and threw a few sticks for Jemima who enjoyed being a town dog and followed a man with chips for sometime! We stayed the night at Nerv Media’s flat (where Mark work’s) which was great fun - thanks very much to Nerv!
