We walked up Cleeve hill this afternoon - and had a flask of tea (and some smartie cakes) on the bench which said: ‘Rest here, amidst this gorse-scented, lark-singing splendour’.
I found a heart shaped stone and dropped it off with Ellen & Chris on the way home. They got engaged on Cleeve Hill last week….CONGRATULATIONS!
I’m reading this book at the moment: ‘A spot of bother’ by Mark Haddon (also the author of The curious incident of the dog in the night-time), and it’s really good. I love the cover - Tim Marrs did the type and I found his website, which is brilliant:
