Liz and Charlie become Mr and Mrs McMaster!

By Alice on Friday 18th November 2011

Liz and Charlie got married on the 10th October in St Ives in Cornwall - they wanted to invite their closest friends and family to a fun and relaxed wedding, with a vintage twist. They love going to St Ives in their camper and couldn’t wait to get married at the Carbis Bay Hotel which is right on the beach - just imagine listening to the waves crashing on the beach and the idea of having photos on the beach!!

They got their wonderful wedding stationery from Alice Palace, of course! Invitations for the day and evening guests, rsvps, order of the day cards, bunting and table names = creating a perfect design which set the fun and relaxed theme for the day.

lovely wedding photography by elly mac - - with the look being romantic, vintagey and fun…

here are me and Liz after the wedding hanging out on the beach!

Lizzy chose to have a cream tea with traditional jam and clotted cream and finger sandwiches, served as the wedding breakfast and then Charlie chose hotdogs and chips with salads for the evening food. So their evening invites contained an important message about the lack of tea and cake!

Their theme was of course tea and cake and their relaxed colour theme was pink and green…

I decorated this old suitcase for their cards and presents - -

the tables were decorated with old crockery filled with love heart sweets and decorated with ribbon…alongside vintage books, handmade table confetti and hand stamped place names attached to lovely packs of fudge.

their tables were named after all their pets!

the kids got a photo list to complete!

this is hand cut lettering for the photo booth (with props!) - which was a lot of fun and created some of the best photos!

the use of the old typewriter for wedding messages from guests worked really well - and looked great too!

their three tiered cake looked fabulous (and tasted as lovely as it looked) - the 3 different sized cakes were from marks and spencer and they were decorated with ribbon and edible pink and green buttons from etsy…

image

They also had some cupcakes with the most amazing icing which they displayed on vintage tiered cake stands (i had one in the morning the next day and it was AMAZING and gave me the energy to swim in the freezing cold sea!!)

(Lizzy designed her own wedding dress - and it looks TOTALLY AMAZING!!).

liz and charlie’s seaside wedding (with a vintage twist) was also featured on the whimsical wonderland weddings blog…
