Spetchley Gardens

I had yesterday afternoon off (as it was my birthday!) and went along to Spetchley Gardens near Worcester with Mum and Lizzy. It chucked it down when we arrived, so we sat in my very clean hire car in the car park and ate a picnic. Then when the rain stopped we went round the gardens which are BEAUTIFUL...and I wish they were mine. The best bit for me was the vegetable gardens - - I will get an allotment!!

Mum and Tony are getting a climbing rose for me for the front garden for my birthday and I found three that I really liked - - This is called Sunset Boulevard…

This was my favourite - as it looks like and antique flower and has a French name!

This one is quite similar but with smaller flower heads and is called Chevy Chase.

This has to be the most perfect looking rose ever - but not a climber!

Here’s the vegetable garden - my best bit…

Mixed in with the veg were my favourite flowers - sweet peas and cosmos - yummy!

Liz and Mum just kept posing for pictures - there was no stopping them!

We had a cup of tea in the tea rooms and met a very friendly young robin. Liz and Charlie got me lots of new plants - I got 3 different types of lavender from Spetchley Gardens and then from a garden centre on the way home I got some wisteria to climb the garden shed, some pink coloured honeysuckle that doesn’t yet have a home and a dahlia HS Flame - yey!! I love them all - thanks guys.

I got a cool tripod for my camera which grips round things like trees and door handles from Mark’s Mum and Dad so we took a few pics on a walk with Jemima, before going out to dinner at Olivinos in Evesham - which was brilliant - I had mussels and then lasagne with aubergine - and drank pimms!!
