stand out work from 2018
I thought it’d be nice to pick some work from each month of 2018 that stood out…
JANUARY
It was fun to work with my friend Alison from Joshi was Janes on a logo concept. We were at uni together and became friends because of her happy socks! Alison now runs her own Graphic Design agency working with small to medium sized businesses on their print and online communications. I created illustrations for the Dormouse Designs logo that she created for her client.
‘I have recently teamed up with my best friend and super talented illustrator @alicepalacepics for a logo design… ‘

FEBRUARY
It was nice to work on Matt & Gwen’s wedding stationery - I always love working on wedding invites, but these were special because they contained a castle, some animal life and a mix of nationalities too.
‘We love your design and the small details you’ve added!’ Gwen & Matt, 14/02/2018
MARCH
I did 15 Custom Laundry Sacks for a customer in Los Angeles
APRIL
I attempted the 100 day project!
MAY
I had a request for a print with 2 girls under a rainbow for a same sex marriage
‘Hi Alice I LOVE it!!’
JUNE
Emily & Tim’s wedding stationery - a whimsical silhouette of Carlowrie Castle - with some trees and animals.
‘Omg! This is incredible!! You guys are amazing. Thank you! We are so incredibly excited about these.’ Emily
JULY
Another fun job was creating 17 personalised teacher bags for Class Bayonne - each bag was completely different and all the teachers got one, even the cook…
‘Not the first time I’ve ordered from Alice Palace and I’m sure it won’t be the last… I recently ordered 17 bags for all the staff at my son’s nursery. They were part of a joint gift from 32 children and not only did the staff absolutely love them, the parents all raved about them too - they were fab! But not only were the bags absolutely amazing, the service provided by Alice Palace was, as always, amazing too! Thank you so much for getting the order processed quickly and being so super XX’
AUGUST
We had a request for some birthday party invites and thank yous with a caravan, gin, wine, and hula hoop theme!
SEPTEMBER
I loved making these new pattern cards - created from patterns I made during the 100 day project…
OCTOBER
My favourite job this month was creating an illustration to help promote the save 9 lives campaign which works closely with The NHS, affirming their message that one organ donor can save or enhance up to 9 lives. Jim is 22 and he’s currently awaiting a heart transplant whilst campaigning for organ donation. I wanted to help raise awareness and create an illustration which was for nonprofit.
‘Hey Alice, Thanks so much for this! I’ll feature the design on Instagram really soon on @Save9Lives! Can’t wait to use this for such vital learning; it means a lot! Best, Jim’ 31/10/2018
