The Alice Palace Christmas party !
On Friday morning Liz and I escaped (through all the fog and coldness!) to Peterstone Court Country House & Spa in the Brecon Beacons - and had an AMAZING time!!
We stayed in one of the converted stables, enjoyed a jacuzzi, sauna, massage, and manicure in the spa ...
...and had a delicious dinner (most of the meat and poultry on their menu comes from their own family farm just seven miles down the road) - I had a beef salad to start, followed by duck and then a very delicious choclate brownie with white chocolate icecream - nice and full!!
On Saturday (after a yummy Welsh breakfast) we set off on a VERY long walk and only just got back (with blisters and aches and pains) before dark!
...because of all the rain, there was lots of debris alongside the river and jemima found a couple of balls!
We had a cream tea in the library when we finally returned, as a treat for the walk’s completion!
The ‘powder room’ was beautifully painted!
