the great interior design challenge
i love it!
got into it the last series (with our house being a huge challenge too!) and now there’s a second series on (bbc2 at 7pm a few nights a week) - the judges are Sophie Robinson and Daniel Hopwood,
it’s a series searching for untapped interior design talent.
There’s been some great programmes so far (you can catch up on bbc i player) - designing rooms in neighbouring 17th-century cottages, 1920s beach huts on Canford Cliffs beach, grand medieval homes in Lavenham, and open plan living and dining rooms of Victorian terrace houses.
Both of the presenters websites are nice

One thing we’ve decided on with our house is to have a black and white theme throughout - so in each room we’re including something noir et blanc! This black tile stripe is the beginnings of the downstairs loo…
we’re miles off being able to actually complete any interior design in our rooms - but it’s very inspiring watching these programmes, and reminds me that there is light at the end of the tunnel!
