waves and walks

By Alice on Tuesday 28th October 2008

On Friday at about 6pm we set off for Devon in our van and arrived at Lobb Fields camping Park just before 10pm…we were on pitch number 74 and had a glass of wine to celebrate!

We were up early on Saturday morning and went to Saunton Sands…

Mark met up with Rob - and they went surfing -

....while Jemima and I went for a long walk along the beach…

It was brilliant fun - it’s so nice to get away (even if it is only for one night) and we LOVE going off in the van!! We got back on Saturday afternoon after going to the Wild Thyme Cafe in Braunton which is really cool. We got takeaway coffees and sandwiches for the journey home.

I finished The Book Thief on the way home and cried my eyes out!

When we got back I had a new pair of socks in the post from my friend Alison which was a very nice surprise - they’re sparkly and stripey and non-black and I LOVE them!! We then cooked a stew ready for lunch with Unce Robert and Auntie Helen the next day. On Sunday we got to eat it round at Liz and Charlie’s house - and liz made crumble for pudding - we all ate loads and then went for a muddy walk!

We went back to liz and charlie’s afterwards and had brownies and cups of tea - nice - I had three! No dinner for me!
