Help a hedgehog

Hedgehogs are wonderful creatures.
I always love it when I hear one snuffling around the garden. We've had a whole family of hedgehogs in our garden and they're sometimes on the front door step late at night! This is one of the really friendly babies...
It's hedgehog awareness week - May 4th to 10th. The event is an annual initiative to raise awareness about the decline of hedgehog populations and encourage people to take action to help these animals.
This year, The British Hedeghog Preservation Society is asking people to ‘Give hedgehogs the edge!’ by making the edges of their gardens and green spaces havens for wildlife, and encouraging landowners such as schools and councils to do the same.
Hedegehogs have always featured in my work - they're lovely animals to illustrate. Let's all do our bit to help them stay in our ever changing world.
