In Bloom at the Ashmolean Museum Oxford

By Alice on

I loved the In Bloom - How plants changed our world exhibition at the Ashmolean. Lots of different artworks and also sounds and smells!

There's an estimated 45% of flowering plants now threatened with extinction, and many of the artworks are looking at the clash between nature and mankind suggesting new ways to think about our interaction with nature. I especially loved the huge tapestries by Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg... she invites viewers to reflect on society's obsession with the new, at the expense of what already exists.
