#SBSEvent2026 - supporting small business in the UK

By Alice on Thursday 5th March 2026

This year's event had the theme of resilience, and it was a brilliant day, as always, for small business owners.

Katie Piper joined Theo for the fireside chat, sharing her perspective on resilience and self-belief. She spoke about self-acceptance and challenged all small businesses to “park the ‘why me?’ and say, actually, ‘why not me?’” She said to be bold and brave, and to never underestimate your impact.

The live pitching on stage was a brilliant new addition and I hope it's part of the event again next year - I'll be there for even more inspiration, connection and celebration of small businesses and entrepreneurs!

Small Business Sunday, shortened to the hashtag #SBS on social media, was created by Theo Paphitis in October 2010. I became a winner in 2018, and have been attending the brilliant events that they hold every year ever since.

To enter the #SBS (Small Business Sunday) competition by Theo Paphitis, tweet or post on Instagram/LinkedIn between 5–7:30 PM on Sunday, describing your business, using the hashtag #SBS, and tagging @TheoPaphitis. Winners receive social media promotion, a profile on the website, and an invite to an annual networking event.
