taste test
By Alice on
We decided to have a taste test evening for valentines. Mark picked 3 starters and I picked 3 puddings.
Before that I had a great handmade card to open (with a purchased ‘No. 1 wife’ badge attached!) ...

Some lovely flowers….

A great picture of my 2 favourites!

Some rose, geranium and bergamot bath oil, and some really pretty floating candles for a nice relaxing bath..

A face mask!

My picture’s not quite the same as the one on the packet!!

After all that relaxing, Jemima and I were kept on the stairs for ages while the secret starters were being prepared…

We got pretty bored!

But it was well worth it! The first one I tried was avacado and balsamic vinegar, followed by mussels and parsely and the final one was a falafel (which I thought was an onion baji!)...

Then we made linguine gamberi (prawns, garlic, onion, wine, tomatoes, chilli, thyme, basil & linguine) which was AMAZING! and then I did the 3 puddings - these were: ginger & chilli sauce on icecream, next were lychees, and then hot choclate and mini marshmallows. And Mark got them all right - so he was the ultimate taste test winner!!
