A weekend at home
We spent all weekend at home and only popped out to walk Jemima / get some food - it was nice! I had a fair bit of work to do - and Mark made a wardrobe smaller to fit into our bedroom alcove! On Friday we had M&S dinner for two for £10, on Saturday night I cooked spag bog, and on Sunday Mark cooked a special pork roast dinner from the good food calender for 2009!!
It was A-mazing!
On Sunday morning we went for a wet and windy walk - - the river’s so high again after all the rain…
We had some poached eggs for lunch - lovely!
I spent Thursday and Friday and alot of the weekend working on new designs for 2009. I’ve now completed four of the eight new Christmas cards..
Here’s a sneak preview at one of them…
- and there will also be a new range to help raise awareness of the Extinction Sucks campaign - to include nine animals that are particularly at risk: an elephant, bear, dolphin, sea turtle, tasmanian devil, a rhino, a gorilla, a panda and a whale.
I have now finished six of the Splimple ‘Heartstrings’ greetings cards - they all have single coloured fronts and then a surprise different colour on the inside.
And I’ve done a couple of new business cards for Blue Dog Jewellery featuring jewellery for Christmas…
These photos were taken on the surprisingly hot weekend that Alison and Punit visited - and I got excited about all the berries against the sky and asked Alison to take some photos of them! It was only a month ago - but look at how blue the sky is!
When I started working full time on Alice Palace, Mark sent me this horse photo - and I love it - it reminds me of suddenly feeling VERY free and able to do exactly what I want! It’s been a over a year and a half now!
I love this muesli packaging (and it tastes nice too!)...
