The smell of wild garlic is in the air, and we have been enjoying finding wild garlic on our daily walks…
it’s really fun to forage wild garlic and make wild garlic pesto
Wild garlic (or ramsons as they are also known), can be found in most woods between late March and July - look out for their bright white flowers, and pick long leaves that are bright in colour. Carefully pick the leaves from close to the ground, and leave the bulb underground and intact ready for next year.
100g wild garlic leaves
50g parmesan cheese
50g pine nuts
1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
Lemon juice
Salt and pepper
we had ours with chicken and chips…
