bathroom in da house!
We’ve been in our ‘new’ house for just over 3 years - and we finally have a fully functioning and beautiful bathroom! I can remember the bathroom standing out when we first looked around the house because of the ceiling shape and window.
This pic was taken on the 21st August 2013 - way before we knew exactly how much work it was going to be!
We tried to re-use and keep as much of the existing bathroom as we could - here’s the story in pics…
For two years we mostly lived with the bathroom as it was - apart from ripping out the water pipes when we installed central heating to the house, which left a bare wall (nice!).
then in november 2015 we gutted it
and starting putting it back together again - mark is an expert tiler these days
december 2015
but we realised that the roof needed doing as more of a priority than we first thought. So we got that started, which put the bathroom on hold for a few more months.

mark had to screw plywood down to the floorboards for tiling, so he could then add the gorgeous tiles
at the end of May 2016, we were nearly there, and then the summer holidays happened…
and in september it was TA DA! ...fully functioning - just need to get a beautiful mirror like one i once spotted in paris!
...long story short, let’s just say that we all REALLY appreciate our bathroom!
