I got this very LOVELY book from Katie and Matt for my birthday = The rabbit problem by Emily Gravett:

This deliciously funny book follows what happens when Lonely Rabbit of Fibonacci’s Field sends out an invitation one January day for other rabbits to join her. Two cold bunnies - Lonely and Chalk - snuggle up together, with the result that by March there’s a pair of baby rabbits. By May there are five pairs, by July 13 pairs and by October there are 55. The final pop-up spread shows exactly what is meant by a rabbit problem. The simple calendar page provides a perfect background on which to sketch out extra information about rabbit feeding, carrot counting, over-fed bunnies and much more.

This is another birthday book (that both me and MArk LOVE - from our friend Matt Siller - THANKS!!)

With over 80 fabulously tasty recipes you can cook on just two rings and a few barbeque feasts and camp fire crackers, this is the dashboard bible for anyone who ever dreamed of hitting the road at the wheel of a classic VW camper. From finding and cooking your own food to passing muster with the surfing set, THE CAMPER VAN COOKBOOK will show you how to make the most of every single moment on the road.

This isn’t a birthday book - it’s borrowed from the library as recommended by my friend Becky - and it is REALLY good. I finished it last night - - so onto volume 2 now…!

The book follows three main characters, Miss Celeste Temple, Cardinal Chang, and Dr. Abelard Svenson, as they attempt to thwart the mysterious plot of a sinister cabal. There are ten chapters in the book, and each is from the point of view of one of the main characters. Chang and Svenson get three chapters each and Miss Temple gets four (the novel both starts and ends from her point of view).

And this is a BRILLIANT cookbook (from my lovely husband for my birthday - I’ve already cooked three of the recipes!)
