Happy Christmas Alice Palace!
We went out on the Alice Palace Christmas do yesterday evening!
First a visit to Chapel Spa, and then a BRILLIANT meal at Monty’s.
I had River Fowley Moules Marinere with a white wine, garlic and parsley cream sauce for a starter and Mark had Seared Baby Red Mullet and Spiced Scallop with a cucumber and mango salad, and a coriander and mint dressing. I think my starter was best!
We both had a special for the main course - I had bream and Mark had calves liver. Mark’s was nicest.
Then for pudding Mark had Chocolate Fondant with malted chocolate ice cream and I had Butterscotch Creme Brulee with Apple Crisps. They were same, same!
We had a really nice bottle of wine too, it was Sancerre La Fuzelle, Adrian Maréchal, France (A classic example of this Loire Valley wine with zesty, fresh citrus fruits, gooseberry flavours and a herbaceous edge).
VERY, very full!
Today is another GORGEOUS day - it is so warm and sunny!
Went for another morning hack out on Albert, with Anna and Hebe
- and we met up with another horse called Harry and his rider, Lucy.
