Hereford Contempoary Craft Fair

By Alice on Monday 16th November 2009

After a fun night full of homemade pizzas and gin & tonics with Katie and Matt, Lizzy picked me up on Saturday morning and we set off for Hereford to go along to the contempoary craft fair. It was really good and I made a few purchases including a ‘hello lovely’ greeting card, a mug (i love), a Christmas decoration, and I even managed to get a great Christmas present for myself from Liz!

This is the card - Hello Lovely by Teresa Green…

My secret Christmas present was from Emma Burton who does printed textile fashion accessories…

I also really enjoyed the ceramic work of Garry Jones - ceramics to make you smile…

And the wire illustrations by Helaina Sharply -

the massive ones worked particularly well…and I loved the shadows the pieces created.

We had a curry and tv night with Zoe, Guy, Brenny and Chloe on Saturday night and Brenny and Zoe modelled for our new ‘Large and small combo aprons’ - - - sooooooooooooo cute!

On Sunday we had a lovely sunshine walk in the morning….

....before going to the spa for the afternoon (thanks to Liz and Charlie for Christmas last year!). We went to Puckrup Hall near Tewkesbury, and used the gym there first, then had a swim before a visit to the steam room and jacuzzi - nice!

This book is great - I’ve got to page 293 and have to return it to the library - luckily I borrowed Charlie’s version, so I can finish it at leisure!

We had a great surprise in the post this morning from Karen at
