the 100 year tree was saved!

By Alice on Monday 1st March 2010

There are high street renovations going on in Evesham at the moment and there was a BIG protest to save one of the trees which is 100 years old. We signed the petition thinking it wouldn’t actually do anything - BUT it has!!!! and the tree has been SAVED - yey!

We watched a few more films from love film over the weekend - before our trial is over.
I really liked District 9 (an extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology) - it’s very different and pretty gross - i was nearly sick during the ‘fingernail’ bit!

and Sunshine Cleaning which is nothing like District 9 - but again is good: in order to raise the tuition to send her young son to private school, a mum starts an unusual business—a biohazard removal/crime scene clean-up service—with her unreliable sister…
